Shared Universities:A New Transformation Approach of Local Undergraduate Universities in South Korea

韩国地方本科高校面临生源危机和发展落后问题,作为地方本科高校转型的新进路,韩国共享大学应运而生。共享大学是指以某项核心技术为中心,通过汇聚地方政府、地方本科高校、产业实体等资源与力量,精准搭建分享平台,优化人才培养模式,提高人才培养质量的一项地方本科高校转型计划。共享大学主要倡导资源开放,鼓励多元参与;共建协同合作平台,疏通连接路径;维持育人的长效性。基于这一理念,地方政府积极主导,分步实施;地方本科高校和产业体权责清晰,主动作为,协力共建共享大学。

South Korean local undergraduate universities are facing the problems of student source crisis and backward development.As a new way for the transformation of local undergraduate universities,South Korea’s Shared University has come into being.Shared university refers to a transformation plan of local undergraduate universities centered on a certain core technology,through gathering resources and strengths of local governments,local undergraduate universities,and industrial entities,to precisely build a sharing platform,optimize the mode of talent cultivation,and improve the quality of talent cultivation.The shared university mainly advocated opening up resources,encouraging diverse participation,building platforms,creating links,and maintaining the long-term nature of education.Based on this concept,the local government actively leads and implements it step by step;local undergraduate universities and industrial bodies have clear rights and responsibilities and take the initiative to act,and multiple parties work together to build and shared universities.
