“一带一路”背景下西部涉农高校小语种教育教学能力提升研究

摘要 涉农高校小语种教育对服务“一带一路”农业科技与文化交流具有特殊的意义。文章通过西部4省(区)5所涉农高校的小语种调查研究发现,普遍存在语种总体偏少、教师队伍整体水平偏低、学生满意度形高实低、小语种教育水平整体低于英语教育水平的问题,其主要原因在于小语种教育定位模糊、师资力量薄弱、师生教与学动力不足、课程质量标准执行不一等,难以满足服务于“一带一路”的农业科技创新与传播的重大需求。因而,高校必须把小语种教育上升到服务于“一带一路”的办学定位和使命层面,科学准确定位小语种教育教学目标,将其纳入学校人才培养体系中整体设计课程与教学体系;将语言教育与专业教育有效结合,构建学生发展与语言教育相协调的小语种人才培养模式。 Minor language education in agricultural universities plays a significant role in serving agricultural science and technology as well as cultural exchanges along the Belt and Road.Based on a survey of universities for agricultural sciences in five provinces(regions)in western China,this study has identified four major issues,including the limited number of minor languages taught,the low professional competency in these languages,the apparent gap in satisfaction between students,which appears to be high,and the inferiority of minor language education to English education.The main reasons for these issues are the ambiguity in the positioning of minor language education,weak faculty capacity,insufficient teacher-student motivation for teaching and learning,and inconsistent implementation of curriculum quality standards,which makes it difficult to meet the major needs of innovation and dissemination of agricultural science and technology serving the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI).Therefore,universities need to raise the level of minor language education to serve the positioning and mission of the BRI,scientifically and accurately locate the teaching objectives of mino language education,and incorporate them into the overall curriculum design and teaching system of the university s talent cultivation system.By effectively integrating language education and professional education,a model for minor language talent cultivation that coordinates student development with language education can be established.
