During the“First Five Year Plan”period,in order to achieve the goal of becoming a powerful country and becoming independent quickly and effectively,members of the CPC with Comrade Mao Ze-dong as the main representative,chose a Catch-Up development strategy with the goal of giving priority to the development of Heavy industry,which was very consistent with the international situation and domestic political and economic conditions at that time.Meanwhile,it has produced great results,enabling China to seize the historical opportunities at that time and greatly shorten the gap with developed capitalist countries.Therefore,standing at the new starting point of opening the second century goal,comprehensively and thoroughly summarizing the theoretical innovation and practical exploration of this development strategy has important reference significance and enlightenment for us to comprehensively promote the new journey of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese path to modernization in the new era.
