教寺中的茶实际是对社会和禅寺中已然普遍流行的茶礼的双重吸收和利用,与禅门茶礼相比并不具有超越的宗教性意义。从现实应用来看,教寺对禅门茶礼的借鉴建基在教宗的核心教义及其日常修持之上,所承载和传达的更多是礼的精神而非超验的宗教精神,剥落了禅门茶礼背后作为“微妙法门”的祖师禅的附着,高扬的是茶礼在行为规范上的制度性价值。

Tea in Tian tai temples is actually the dual absorption and utilization of the tea ceremony that has become popular in society and Zen temples.Compared with Zen tea ceremony,it does not have transcendental religious significance.From a practical application perspective,the reference of Tian tai temples to Zen tea ceremony is based on the core teachings of the Tian tai school and his daily practice.It carries and conveys more the spirit of ceremony than the transcendental religious spirit,stripping away the attachment of Zen tea ceremony as the “subtle method” of the Bodhidharma Chan Buddhism,and promoting the institutional value of tea ceremony in behavioral norms.
