Rethinking and Exploring:To Construct the Critical Chinese Studies——The Interview with Prof.Zhang Xiping

围绕“建构一种批评的中国学研究”,刘燕教授对张西平教授进行了访谈。张教授反思了40多年来中国学界在海外汉学(中国学)领域取得的丰硕成果,同时提出开拓国内中国学研究的三种态度:坚持文化自觉和学术自觉;秉承求真与务实的批判精神;持有开放和包容的文化精神。本访谈有助于我们了解海外汉学(中国学),尤其是当代西方中国学的研究趋势和中国学者的回应,进一步推进中国与国外学界之间的平等对话、跨文化交流与合作。

Prof.Liu Yan interviewed with Prof.Zhang Xiping on “Constructing the Critical Chinese Studies”.Prof.Zhang reflected on the fruitful achievements made by Chinese scholars in the field of overseas Sinology(Chinese Studies) over the past 40 years,and proposed three attitudes to develop Chinese domestic Chinese Studies:adhere to cultural consciousness and academic consciousness;advocate the critical spirit of seeking truth and pragmatism;have an open and inclusive cultural spirit.This interview helps us to understand the research trends of overseas Sinology,especially the contemporary Western Sinology(Chinese Studies) and the responses of Chinese scholars,and to promote the equal dialogue,transcultural communication and cooperation between Chinese and foreign academic circles.
