摘要
随着国际文化交流的增多,中国的文化也逐渐受到国外译者的青睐。作为跨文化交流的桥梁,翻译体现了两种文化之间不平等的权利关系。本文以《唐诗三百首》的重要英译本《群玉山头》中杜甫的诗歌为研究对象,以后殖民主义理论为视角,分析译者在动植物、乐器、地理等物质文化和伦理、历史典故等精神文化两个层面上对中国的文化产生的误读现象。这体现了在译者的主体选择下中国文化失去话语权、处于边缘地位,进而阻碍了中华文化“走出去”。本文认为,为消除该文化流失与误读,一方面,国内译者应增强文化使命感,向外输出准确的文化作品译本;另一方面,面对海外译者的译本,我国应增强版权意识、坚守文化底线,严格审核海外译本。
With the increasing of the intercultural communication,Chinese culture has gained more and more popularity among the foreign translators.Translation,as a bridge of intercultural communication,embodies the unequal relationship between two cultures.Ancient poetry is the essence of Chinese culture,and Bynner’s The Jade Mountain is an important English translation of Three Hundred Tang Poems.Taking the English translation of Du Fu’s poems in The Jade Mountain as the research object,this paper,from the perspective of post-colonialism,analyzes the translator’s misreading of Chinese culture in material culture,such as the perspective of animals and plants,musical instruments and geography,and spiritual culture,such as ethics and historical allusions.The cultural misreading in these two aspects reflects the unequal status of Chinese culture under the subject selection of translators,and hinders the spread of Chinese culture.This paper argues that in order to eliminate the cultural loss and misreading,on one hand,translators should enhance the sense of cultural mission and output accurate cultural works.On the other hand,copyright awareness should be strengthened,as we should stick to the bottom line of culture and strictly review overseas translations.
