This paper takes the Hubao-Eyu urban agglomeration as the research object, and compares and analyzes the changes of weighted average travel time, economic potential and economic linkage intensity before the opening of high-speed rail(2009)and after the opening of high-speed rail(2020)by using accessibility model, economic potential model and economic connection intensity model. The results show that:①After the opening of the high-speed railway, the weighted average travel time of each city in the Hubao-Eyu urban agglomeration is halved, and the overall accessibility of traffic within the urban agglomeration is significantly improved.②After the opening of high-speed rail, the central cities of urban agglomerations have developed rapidly, showing a“central diffusion”development model.③After the opening of the high-speed railway, the economic potential of the Hubao-Eyu urban agglomeration has increased significantly, the economic strength of each city has developed rapidly, and the links between cities have developed closer.④The intensity of economic ties within urban agglomerations before and after the opening of high-speed rail has increased significantly, and the impact of high-speed rail accessibility and shortening the average travel time on the strength of economic ties can be intuitively seen.
