Objective To explore the improvement effect of solifenacin combined with tamsulosin on overactive bladder(OAB)in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods A total of 100 patients with BPH combined with OAB admitted to Zhuanghe Central Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 50 patients in each group. Both groups received lifestyle interventions, while the control group received treatment with tamsulosin, while the observation group received solifenacin additionally. The improvement of urination dynamics, symptom relief, and occurrence of adverse drug reactions between the two groups after treatment were compared. Results After treatment, the observation group had significantly higher voiding volume, average flow rate, maximum flow rate, maximum bladder Volume-pressure,and bladder compliance than the control group, while the residual urine volume in the bladder was significantly lower than the control group(P0.05).Conclusion On the basis of the application of tamsulosin, the addition of solifenacin can further improve urinary function and alleviate adverse symptoms in BPH patients with OAB,and do not increasethe risk of adverse drug reactions.
