Feminism in American Progressive Education Research

20世纪70年代女性史兴起后,进步主义教育成为美国女性主义教育史学的重要研究主题。基于对男性主导的进步主义教育研究的批判,女性主义者对杜威的生活经历与教育思想进行性别分析,同时在进步主义教育研究中添加被忽视女性的贡献,掀起重寻女性计划。20世纪90年代后,研究者关注到女性群体内部种族与阶级等差异,黑人女性的教育活动被纳入研究视野;在历史书写上不再满足于事实的陈述,将性别纳入社会权力系统中寻求话语分析。从简单添加到关注内部差异、从还原女性贡献到追寻历史解释,研究路径的转变体现美国史学与女性史学发展变迁的影响。

Since the rise of women's history in the 1970s,progressive education has become an important research theme in the history of American feminist education.Based on the criticism of the male-dominated progressive education research,feminists made a gender analysis of Dewey's life and education thoughts,and at the same time added the neglected contribution of women to the progressive education research,set off the women's recovery project.After the 1990s,researchers paid attention to the differences of race and class in female groups,and brought the educational activities of black women into their field of study.In the writing of history,they were no longer satisfied with the statement of facts and sought discourse analysis by incorporating gender into the social power system.The research approaches from simple addition to focusing on differences and from recovering the women's contributions to historical interpretation reflect the influence of the development and changes of American historiography and women's historiography.
