Color Philosophy:A Case Study of Chinese and Western Classic Color Thinking

追溯中西方色彩研究的传统,无疑都绕不开各自悠久的哲学思想。而往往哲学经典理论反映出色彩命题在哲学范畴中的重要地位。很多古典色彩哲学思想至今仍然影响着当代的观念和思维。本文旨在通过中国与希腊古典色彩哲学比较,来探索中西方在色彩本体论、认识论和方法论上的异同。其目的不是做单纯的差异性研究,更希望从中挖掘出可以为今人所用的启示,以及将色彩的研究置于更根本性的哲学性研究。

The tradition of Chinese and Western color studies has long history in philosophical thinking.Classical color theories reflect the importance of color propositions in philosophy research,which has great impact on the contemporary ideas and thinking about color.This article aims to explore color ontology,epistemology,and methodology between China and the West through a comparison between Chinese and Greek classical color philosophy.The purpose of research not only identifies the similarity and difference in theory but also explores the enlightenment that can be implemented as reference.More importantly,this study urges that color research should be considered to take a more fundamental and philosophical approach.
