For the ideological and political education of college students,it is very crucial to grasp the real needs of college students and meet the actual needs in education and teaching.The hierarchy of needs theory divides human needs into physiological needs,security needs,social needs,respect needs and self-actualization needs,according to the different needs of human development process.The theory focuses on people-oriented and values the realization of human self-worth,which is in line with the ideological and political education in colleges and universities.Applying the theory of hierarchy of needs to the ideological and political education work can better guide the ideological and political education work and help students achieve free and comprehensive development.
