Beyond Reality and Virtuality:Metaverse Governance in a Spatial Perspective

人类社会已进入元宇宙前夜。作为赛博空间和虚拟世界的高度发展和虚拟空间的升级,元宇宙独有的虚实空间会改变社会面貌,而赛博空间的乱象让人对虚实空间的发展保持警惕。文章从技术和人文视角探讨元宇宙空间治理:通过剖析算法和人之间的关系,提出算法作为制度的观点,说明算法治理是元宇宙技术空间治理的起点;以赛博空间批判和三元空间理论为基础,提出从以人为本和空间协作两个方面对元宇宙虚实空间进行治理。

Human society has entered the eve of the Metaverse.As a highly developed and virtually upgraded version of cyberspace and virtual world,the unique virtual reality space in the metaverse will profoundly change our society.However,the chaos of cyberspace makes one wary of the development of the virtual reality space.This paper explores the spatial governance of the metaverse in terms of technology and humanity.By analyzing the relationship between algorithms and humans,it proposes the idea of considering algorithms as a system,illustrating that algorithmic governance is the starting point of technical and spatial governance in the metaverse.Based on the cyberspace critique and triadic space theories,this study recommends that the virtual reality space in the metaverse should be governed from the people-oriented and spatially collaborative perspectives.
