In today's era,fashion design needs not only creativity and artistic sense,but also the support of science and technology.Among them,mathematical thinking can not only help designers understand and apply geometric principles,proportional relations and statistical laws,but also optimize clothing structure,improve production efficiency,and meet consumers' requirements for comfort,fit and aesthetic appearance.This paper analyzes the collision between current fashion design and mathematical thinking,discusses in detail the important role of the application of mathematical thinking in fashion design,probes into the main problems existing in the application of mathematical thinking in fashion design,and puts forward the innovative path to promote the integration of fashion design and mathematical thinking.
