摘要
如果一个电子游戏内部包含了其他的游戏,便会创造出多重交错的虚构层级。这种情况可被用于从游戏内部探讨游戏性(gameness)的概念。与此同时,母游戏(macrogame)制造出的审美幻觉并不会因一个子游戏(minigame)的“置入”而消失。本文所要深入探讨的是,我们为何自愿沉浸于电子游戏的世界,即使游戏中明明包含着强调其虚构性的元素。“游戏中的游戏”的不同模式是否对母游戏的玩法有影响?它与幻觉是怎样的关系?在讨论这些问题之前,本文将先从理论角度对幻觉以及交错的虚构层级的概念进行探究。通过考察大量不同的电子游戏,本文综合分析了嵌入式子游戏的重要潜质。
Video games that incorporate other games in their game-world create interlacing fictional levels.These can be used to engage with concepts of"gameness"from within the game itself without abandoning the aesthetic illusion created by the macrogame,in which the minigame is embedded.This article delves into the question why we are willing to immerse ourselves in video game worlds even if they contain elements that overtly emphasize the fictionality of these games.It explores concepts of illusion as well as interlacing fictional levels from a theoretical perspective before researching various modes of games within games with or without an impact on the gameplay of the macrogame as well as their relationship to illusion.The outcome of this article will be a comprehensive study of the critical potential of minigames,which is accomplished by discussing a large corpus of different video games.
