摘要
关于偶数哥德巴赫猜想研究的系列成果是20世纪50-70年代中国数学最具代表性的成果之一,王元对偶数哥德巴赫猜想(3,4)的证明是其中第一项重要成果。从王元的教育背景、个人特质、工作环境、华罗庚的指导以及学术界在知识和方法上的储备等方面,对他取得突破的原因进行了探讨,讨论王元的证明和他的研究历程,并指出这一成果的取得在该系列研究链条中具有的重要历史意义。
The series of research achievements on the binary Goldbach conjecture was one of the most representative achievements of mathematics in China during the period from 1950s to the 1970s,in which proof of the binary Goldbach conjecture(3,4)was the first important one of them.In the paper,Wang Yuan's proof and research process were traced and the various factors that led to his breakthrough was analyzed,such as his educational background,personal characteristics,working environment,and Hua Luo-keng's guidance,as well as his possession of knowledge and methods concerning the solution of the problem.Meanwhile,it was pointed out that Wang Yuan's breakthrough in the research on the binary Goldbach conjecture had important historical significance in the chain of the series of research.
