河南抗洪救灾语境下的双关与隐转喻表达

Pun, Metaphor and Metonymy in the Context of Fighting Flood in Henan Province

在2021年河南抗洪救灾中,主流媒体的新闻报道里涌现出不少新奇的双关和隐转喻表达,如“郑”紧急、风“豫”同舟、“胡辣汤”顶住等。基于认知语言学,分别考察与解读这些双关和隐转喻,印证以下结论。其一,双关和隐喻的运作机制有相似性,并且可以结合使用。其二,双关能够发挥着积极的语用功效,它使语言表达幽默风趣,让人印象深刻;隐喻和转喻是人类赖以生存的基本思维方式,具有隐转喻性质的表达体系能够构建人们的范畴体系和行动范式。其三,从社会功用看,在特定的抗洪救灾背景下,双关和隐转喻的恰当使用有助于激活战争隐喻,创设众志成城的抗洪语境,鼓舞士气,具有建构命运共同体身份的积极功能。

During the flood fighting and disaster relief in Henan Province in 2021,many novel puns as well as metaphorical and metonymic expressions emerged in the news reports of the mainstream media,such as"zheng"jinji,"feng yu tong zhou","hu la tang ding zhu".Based on cognitive linguistics,this paper examines and interprets these rhetoric devices respectively to confirm the following conclusions.First,the operating mechanisms of puns and metaphors are similar and can be used in combination.Second,pun can have a positive pragmatic effect,which not only makes the language humorous,but also enlightens the mind and impresses people;metaphor is a basic way of thinking we live by;the conceptual system with metaphorical and metonymic nature can construct people's category system and action paradigm.Third,from the perspective of social function,under the specific background of flood fighting and disaster relief,the proper use of novel puns as well as metaphors and metonymies helps to activate war metaphors,create a united context for fighting floods,and boost morale.It has the positive function of promoting the formation of people's community consciousness and the construction of the identity of a community with a shared future.
