朝鲜《独立新闻》对“戊戌变法”的书写、报道目的及后续影响

朝鲜《独立新闻》对清朝“戊戌变法”的进程始终保持关注。在对朝鲜政府批判与自我造势的基调下,该报在通过开放言论的变法之举,传达了独立协会保障言论自由等政治诉求的同时,亦借清朝之政变,强化了对朝鲜政府的舆论攻势。独立协会解散后,该报则以盛赞“戊戌变法”的方式,继续强调独立协会诉求的政治正确性及优越性。在《独立新闻》书写下,“戊戌变法”成为朝鲜知识分子转变对清认知、接受梁启超的思想以改良朝鲜社会实践的重要途径。

The Independent,a representative newspaper during Korea's Joseon Dynasty,intently focused on the Hundred Days'Reform initiated by the Qing Dynasty in 1898.With a tone of criticism towards the Korean government and self-promotion,this newspaper used the Reform to convey the political demands of the Club,advocating for free speech.Concurrently,it intensified its public opinion offensive against the government by observing the Wuxu Coup.Since the Club's dissolution,The Independent adopted an approach of praising the Reform to emphasize the accuracy and superiority of the Club's demands.By means of its reports,the Hundred Days'Reform emerged as a vital channel for Korean intellectuals to shift their views on the Qing and embrace the reformist ideas of Liang Qichao for enhancing Korean society.
