大学生手长、手宽与身高的回归分析

Regression analysis of stature from hand length and width in college students

目的:探讨大学生手长、手宽与身高的相关性。方法:身高和手的度量取自郑州工商大学商学院随机抽取的650名研究样本,其中男性327名,女性423名。对测量数据进行相关和回归分析。结果:男性和女性的手测量值与身高呈显著正相关(r=0.319~0.793,P<0.01)。回归模型的估计标准误差为±3.744~±5.902 cm。仅用手长建立的简单线性模型得出男女平均SEE最低,为±3.744~±4.168 cm。结论:手长是估计身高的最佳指标之一。

Objective:To explore the relationship between stature and hand measurements.Method:Stature,hand length and hand width were taken from a study sample consisting of 650 randomly selected subjects(327 male and 423 female)form Business College of Zhengzhou Technology and Business University.Correlation and regression analyses were performed on the measurement data.Results:All the hand measurements of both sexes exhibited positive and statistically significant correlation coefficients with stature(r=0.319-0.793,P<0.01).The regression models showed a standard error of the estimate(SEE)ranging from ±3.744 cm to ±5.902 cm.Simple linear model using only the hand length provided the lowest SEE for both sexes ranging from±3.744 cm to±4.168 cm,Conclusion:Hand length is one of the best index for stature estimation.
