Universal Basic Income(UBI)has gained signifi cant prominence within global discussions on social policy in recent years.The growing popularity of UBI can be attributed to the uncertainties,income inequality,and widening wealth gaps inherent in the global economy.The COVID-19 pandemic has further magnified these challenges,reshaping various industries and influencing the world's future trajectory.In response to these unprecedented changes,many countries and regions are engaged in extensive UBI debates,aiming to construct robust social security systems for the postpandemic era.While many current UBI practices might not adhere strictly to a completely unconditional universal basic income model,they nonetheless embody the core essence and principles of universal basic income.
