Cultural and Geographic Overview of the Tanghe River System in Ningbo

塘河是宁绍平原人类改造自然滨海河网,用以解决生产生活需要的伟大成果,是汉唐以来浙东地区经济社会发展的基础性条件。拟通过对宁波地区塘河系统在不同历史时期发展演变的回顾,梳理出该区域塘河系统的演化规律、客观作用,以及对环境与人文的影响,深入分析塘河与宁波这座河海交汇处的历史文化名城的互动关系,以期为今后的名城保护实践提供全新的塘河视角。

The Tanghe River is a great achievement of human transformation of the natural coastal river network in the Ningshao Plain to meet the needs of production and life.It has been a fundamental condition for the economic and social development of the Eastern Zhejiang region since the Han and Tang dynasties.Through a review of the development and evolution of the Tanghe River system in the Ningbo region during the historical periods,this paper aims to clarify the evolutionary laws and objective effects of the Tanghe River system,and its impact on the environment and culture in the region.It aims to deeply analyze the interactive relationship between Tanghe River and the historical and cultural city of Ningbo,which is at the intersection of the river and the sea,in order to provide a new perspective for the protection of famous cities in the future.
