With the continuous development of internet technology,online education has gradually become an important and convenient way of education,and self-directed adult online learning is also popular among young people.However,due to the lack of face-to-face interaction and guidance,and limited by the characteristics of adult students and changes in the learning environment,self-directed adult online learning may encounter various problems and challenges.Therefore,teacher intervention and mechanism design play a crucial role in the effectiveness of the learning.In this article,the characteristics and laws of self-directed adult online learning,the necessity of teacher intervention,and the strategy of integrating teacher intervention methods and mechanism design are analyzed to help adult learners improve learning effectiveness and efficiency,and promote their comprehensive development.
