清刘宝楠、刘恭冕《论语正义》校雠学论析

The Achievement of Textual Criticism of Liu Baonan and Liu Gongmian in Qing Dynasty

刘宝楠、刘恭冕父子皆是清代扬州学派的代表人物。父子接续而成的巨著《论语正义》二十四卷,对汉代《齐论》《鲁论》《古论》三家异文的考校颇具特色。刘氏的校勘以对校为基础,以理校为主要方法,能将其对小学的纯熟精妙地运用到校勘之中,从而判定异文差异的缘由。对于他书征引的文字,则能进行考证分析,推测异文来源。此外,篇章及作者问题的考证也是刘氏工作的重点。当然,刘氏的校勘同时也存在一些值得商榷之处,如列异文而少识断以及考证不精等问题。

Liu Baonan and his son Liu Gongmian are the representatives of Yangzhou school in the Qing Dynasty.They finished twenty-four volumes of Zheng Yi of Analects of Confucius,in which they applied various methods of collation of three different editions of Analects of Confucius in Han Dynasty.Liu’s collation based on"Dui Jiao"and mainly applied"Li Jiao"method.His exquisite understanding of linguistics and philology helps a lot in analyzing the reason of the formation of words.In addition,he did textual research for the citation of other books,and speculated the source of variants of the words.In addition,the textual research of the text and the author is also the focus of Liu's work.Of course,there are also some points worth discussing in Liu's collation,such as attaching to the words of predecessors,listing different texts but little knowledge and textual research and other problems.
