Ecological civilization holds paramount significance in the context of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.The socialist system serves as the fundamental guarantee for the construction of an ecological civilization.The establishment of the ecological civilization system in the new era is deeply rooted in its ideological origins,cultural foundations,practical origins,and contemporary sources.Its theoretical connotation is profound, primarily encompassing the manifestation of fundamental values, emphasis on systemic construction, focusing on key elements, clear sequencing of establishment before disruption, consideration of temporal and spatial integration, and a dual emphasis on internal and external factors. Thus a scientific pattern of practical exploration has been established, which highlights the interplay between top-level design and hierarchical alignment, problem awareness and goal orientation, overall reform objectives and sub-objectives, government regulation and market mechanisms, institutional development and law-based governance, etc. China has already established a comprehensive and scientifically viable ecological civilization system, which effectively ensures the institutional support for ecological civilization construction and significantly advances the modernization of the national governance system and capacity in the ecological domain.
