Objective To investigate the clinical effect and drug safety of Dingchuan decoction in patients with pulmonary infection with phlegm-heat accumulation in lung type. Methods A total of 70 patients with pulmonary infection from October 2019 to October 2021 were selected and divided into two groups by random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine, while the observation group was treated with Dingchuan decoction. After 10 days of treat-ment,the effect of patients was evaluated, and the therapeutic effect and safety were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the white blood cell(WBC)count and C-reactive protein(CRP)level in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of observation group was 97.14%(34/35),which was higher than that of control group(82.86%,29/35)(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions after treatment in the observation group was 5.71%(2/35),which was lower than that in the control group(14.29%,5/35),and the safety was higher than that in the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion On the basis of Western medicine,Dingchuan decoction can improve the therapeutic effect, reduce the levels of WBC and CRP,and does not increase the incidence of adverse drug reactions, which has certain promotion value.
