China-type Modernization:Development History,Basic Characteristics,and Era Approach

中国式现代化的发展并非一蹴而就,而是贯穿于中国共产党为实现中华民族伟大复兴的赓续奋斗全程,经历了从“工业化”到“四个现代化”,再到“中国式的现代化”进而形成“中国式现代化”与时俱进的发展历程。与西方现代化和传统社会主义现代化相比,中国式现代化具有人口规模巨大等基本特征。新时代新征程推进中国式现代化既要不断巩固中国共产党的领导地位,把中国特色社会主义道路作为前进方向,把以人民为中心作为核心目的,也要把全面深化改革开放作为动力引擎,把发扬斗争精神作为方式手段,还要正确处理好顶层设计与实践探索等若干重大关系。

The development of China-type modernizations not overnight.It runs through the whole process of the CPC’s continuous struggle to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,which has gone through the development process from“industrialization”to“Four Modernizations”and then to“Chinese style modernization”,thus forming“China-type modernization”.Compared with western modernization and traditional socialist modernization,China-type modernization has the basic characteristics such as huge population.To promote China-type modernization in the new era and new journey,we should not only take the CPC as the leading force,the road of Socialism with Chinese characteristics as the direction of progress,and regarding the people at the center as the core purpose,but also take the comprehensive deepening of reform and opening up as the driving force engine,and promoting the spirit of struggle as the means.Besides,we also need to properly handle a number of important relationships such as top-level design and practical exploration.
