The importance of the viscous damper and the necessity of its in-service performance testing of bridge are discussed.Taking the in-service performance testing of the viscous damper of Maanshan Changjiang River Highway Bridge as an example,the whole field test method and process of bridge damper are introduced in detail,and the test results are analyzed and summarized.
