The present work exploresapproaches to applying portable operation and maintenance gateway in power monitoring system.Methods including observation method,survey method,andliterature research method are used.The overall structure,operation mode and main functions of the portable operation and maintenance gateway areanalyzed.In combination with marketing knowledge,the promotion and application strategy of the portable operation and maintenance gateway in the power monitoring system isput forward.The proposed strategyentails achieving balance between functionality and portability according to the requirements of power monitoring system,reducing production costs,enhancing product competitiveness,providing lifelong service,improving posteriormaintenance and upgrade.It can be concluded that portable operation and maintenance gateway acts as asecurity boundary device,and plays an important role in realizing safe operation and maintenance of power monitoring system.The extensive application of portable operation and maintenance gateway in power monitoring system is of great necessity.
