论阏与之战的过程及意义

A Study on the Process and Significance of the Battle of Yanyu

阏与城为赵国交通枢纽,控遏着邯郸、晋阳间最重要的交通线。秦昭襄王三十八年,胡伤率秦军取道上党攻打阏与城,试图腰斩赵国,吞并太原地区。在韩、魏等国支持下,赵国派遣赵奢率军击败胡伤军,解除阏与危机。秦军发起阏与之战的契机是,前一年秦国吞并齐国刚、寿,使秦地东接鲁中山地,在地缘政治上完成破散合纵。为进一步削弱六国,秦遂率先进攻时为六国之强的赵国。阏与战败,使秦兼并天下的势头为之暂缓。

Yanyu is the transportation hub of Zhao,controlling the most important road between Handan and Jinyang.In 269 BC,Hu Shang led the Qin army through Shangdang to attack Yanyu.Its purpose was to divide the Zhao Kingdom and subsequently annex the Taiyuan region.With the support of Han and Wei,Zhao She led the Zhao army to defeat the Qin army.The reason why the Qin launched this battle was that Qin completed strategic integration at last year.Qin seized the area west of Mount Tai,breaking the possibility of Six Kingdoms’cooperation.In order to further weaken the Six Kingdoms,Qin first attacked Zhao,which was the strongest of the Six Kingdoms at that time.But the defeat in the Battle of Yanyu put an end to the momentum of Qin’s offensive.
