中国高等电气教育开始时间不晚于1904年的实证研究

An Empirical Study on the Starting Time of Chinese Higher Electrical Education no Later Than 1904

目前电工界有关中国高等电气教育的开始时间有多个说法,最近十多年集中的说法是始于1908年,然而,这些说法都没有给出出处或证据。因此,这成为一个需要澄清的问题,同时它也是中国电气教育史中的一个基本问题。这个问题的解决,有助于了解我国高等电气教育的起源与发展,可以加深对我国高等电气教育的准确认识。该文通过挖掘、整理、鉴别第一手史料,得到以下研究结果:京师高等实业学堂的电气机械科可能是中国最早的高等电气教育机构,它的第一级学生于1904年10月29日正式开学,在校学习21门课程,29名学生于夏历一九一〇年七月毕业。由此可以说,中国高等电气教育开始时间不晚于1904年。

Nowadays,in the field of electrical engineering,there are many viewpoints about the starting time of Chinese higher electrical education,among which more people think it started in 1908.However,there is no consensus on the correctness of these viewpoints.Thus,it becomes an urgent problem to clarify when Chinese higher electrical education originated,and it is also a fundamental problem in the history of Chinese electrical education.The clarification of this problem is helpful in understanding the origin and development of Chinese higher electrical education,which can deepen the understanding of Chinese higher electrical education.Through digging,sorting and identifying the first-hand historical materials,this paper obtains the following results:The electrical engineering major of The Imperial Polytechnic College may be the earliest institution of Chinese higher electrical education.The first class of students of the electrical engineering major started their courses on October 29,1904.These students studied twenty-one courses in this college,and twenty-nine of them graduated in July 1910 of the lunar calendar.Thus,it can be concluded that the starting time of Chinese higher electrical education is no later than 1904.
