This paper delves into the benefits and risks of blockchain technology in cybersecurity.Firstly,we introduce the fundamentals of blockchain technology,including its principles and features.Then we analyze the application scenarios of blockchain technology in cyber security,including data protection,identity authentication,and prevention of cyber attacks.We further study the specific practices of blockchain technology in these applications and propose a new concept,blockchain data center,which has significant advantages in data protection.However,we also point out the risks of blockchain technology in cybersecurity,including the security risks of consensus mechanism,the security risks of smart contracts,and the security risks of key loss crisis.Finally,we look forward to the future development of blockchain technology in cybersecurity.
