The CERES-1 commercial launch vehicle carrying four satellites blasts off from the waters off Haiyang,a coastal city in Shandong Province,east China,on September 5.The Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center conducted the offshore mission.Rocket manufacturer Galactic Energy said it was the CERES-1 series'ninth flight and the first sea-based mission.The takeoff also makes it the first private Chinese company to complete a sea launch.
