现代化的发展为人类社会带来了许多巨大的转变,对于生活在这个时代的人来说,时间和空间上的压缩破坏了地方感的构建,他们迫切地需要寻回自己的“根”。因此,在现代主义下盛行的新右派一边利用博物馆展示秩序和进步的现代观念,通过控制时间和空间的展示来主导普通人的日常生活,一边又将遗产地进行重构和商业化包装,强调其表面现象,加强了人们对过去的分离、阉割和淡化,使博物馆和遗产地成为了控制观众的工具。《表征过去:后现代世界的博物馆和遗产》一书以带有哲学思辨的气息,毫不留情地刺破了上述现象的泡沫,以剖析其本质的方式,为我们理解和反思博物馆和遗产行业的商业化创造了新路径。
The development of modernization has brought about numerous dramatic transformations in human society.For people who live in this era,the compression of time and space has destroyed the construction of a sense of place,and they desperately need to find their"roots".Thus,the New Right,which flourished under modernism,used museums to display modern notions of order and progress to dominate the daily lives of ordinary people by controlling the display of time and space,while at the same time reconstructing and commercializing heritage sites,emphasizing their superficial phenomena,reinforcing the separation,emasculation,and dilution of the past,making museums and heritage sites a tool for controlling audiences.With an air of philosophical reflection,the book Representing the Past:Museums and Heritage in the Postmodern World relentlessly bursts the bubble of the above phenomenon,creating new paths for understanding and reflecting on the commercialization of the museum and heritage industry by dissecting its essence.
