Modern Chinese Civilization as a New Cultural Life:From a Perspective of Generating and Accomplishment

中华民族现代文明代表了人类历史上一种崭新的文化生命体。我们不是简单地接受孔夫子或马克思,而是对它们有所继承和发展,促成中国马克思主义对孔夫子和马克思的有机统一。我们需要跃入“古今中西”各种要素氤氲化醇的大结构。古今中西,和生新体,即由旧体之和而生出新体。“新体”是生之成,“和”是生之道。中华民族现代文明的生成离不开在世界性百家争鸣中对现代文明开展批判性的集体学习“。生成”正在凸显为新时代思想的基本词。

Modern Chinese civilization is a brand-new cultural life in the history of human beings.It is new due to the follow-ing fact:Chinese Marxism is an organic unity of Confucius and Marx,a new cultural life has come into being in the fusion of"the past,the present,Chinese and the West",and the practice of world disputations of a hundred schools is demonstrated in the collective learning of modern civilization.The fact that this new cultural life is new shows that we don't simply accept ei-ther Confucius or Marx;rather,we do inherit and then develop them.The idea of"Modern Chinese civilization"is the newest achievement of the collective learning of modernization in China.A system of civilization is generative.Only in this way,we can successfully jump into the great structure of"the past,the present,Chinese and the West"embracing various elements.The harmony of old lives gives birth to a new life.While the new life means the accomplishment,harmony is the way of gener-ating.The generating and accomplishment of modern Chinese civilization would be impossible if there were no collective learn-ing of modern civilization in a critical way in worldwide disputations of a hundred schools.
