置身近现代中国知识分子群体办报救国、救亡图存的热潮中,梁漱溟对新闻事业形成了鲜明深刻的观点与洞察。他认为,新闻是救国救民的工具,是人民的喉舌,是自学的好材料,是指导社会的良心,是团结联合的武器。由于受传统文化和现实政治的影响,他在很长时间内无法摆脱改良派的思想拘囿;新中国成立后,其新闻观显示出由改良主义向马克思主义思想的转向。

Liang Shuming,a nonprofessional journalist,formed his distinct and profound viewpoints and insight into journalism under the influence of the upsurge“newspapers publication for national salvation”by modern Chinese intellectuals.His viewpoints of journalism emphasize that journalism should be the tool for national and civilian salvation and good materials for self-education;journalism can guide the conscience of society and act as the weapon of unity.Due to the influence of traditional culture and realistic politics,Liang Shuming could not get rid of the ideological constraints of the reformists for a long time,but his viewpoints of journalism shifted from reformist thought to Marxist thought after the founding of the People’s Republic of China,and he believed that journalism should be the mouthpiece of the people.
