西北地区和亲文化内容丰富,影响深远,具有历史连贯性、主体复杂性和类型多样性等特点,反映了民族交往交流交融的深度与广度。西北地区不同政权之间的联姻、西北地区诸政权与中原王朝的联姻、联结两个民族亲缘关系的联姻、联结多个民族亲缘关系的联姻,都在推进各民族文化上兼收并蓄、经济上相互依存、情感上相互亲近的历史进程中发挥了独特作用,使西北历史上各民族的存续命运紧密联系起来,在中华民族由多元凝聚为一体的进程中深化了休戚与共、荣辱与共、生死与共、命运与共的中华民族共同体理念。

The inter-marriage culture among rulers in northwest China had rich contents and far-reaching influences with characteristics such as historical coherence,complexity of subjects and diversity of types,which reflected the depth and breadth of ethnic interaction,communication and integration.The matrimony between various northwestern political regimes,between northwestern political regimes and Central Plains Dynasties,and the matrimony which connected two or multiple ethnic groups played a unique role in promoting the historical process of cultural inclusiveness,economic interdependence,and emotional intimacy of all ethnic groups.It had closely linked the survival and continued interests of all ethnic groups in the history of the northwest region,and deepened the concept of the Community of Chinese Nation with shared weal and woe,honor and disgrace,life and death,common destiny in the process of consolidating the Chinese nation's integration from pluralism.
