As native grass species play an increasingly important role in ecological protection and grassland construction,this paper timely combs the development advantages and existing problems of native grass species in Xinjiang,and looks forward to and puts forward countermeasures from the aspects of germplasm resource protection system construction,resource sharing,basic and applied research,so as to give full play to the resource advantages of Xinjiang,help the healthy and sustainable development of local grass seed industry.
