摘要
语义韵是当代语料库语言学一个重要的发现,与以往有关语义韵的考察主要集中于理论方面不同,此次考察拟通过例证法来讨论语义韵协助汉英翻译实践的具体方法与路径,强调译者应该在理解词汇的汉语语境含义与倾向的基础上,前往COCA等大型英语语料库平台去确定译词的语义韵,做出正确的判断和选择,从而提升译文的整体质量。
Semantic prosody is an important discovery in contemporary corpus linguistics,and its previous studies have focused mainly on theoretical aspects.The paper will discuss the specific methods of semantic prosody to assist the Chinese-English translation practices through some examples,emphasizing that translators should go to English corpus platforms such as COCA to determine the semantic prosody of targeted words and make correct judgments and choices on the basis of understanding the Chinese contextual meanings of words so that improve the quality of targeted text.
