The New Stylistics:From Linguistic Stylistics to Semiotic Stylistics

随着社会文化的不断发展,新兴的风格不断涌现。以文本意义的生成为主线,以研究对象为中心,重新审视现代风格学的发展历程,可以发现一条或隐或显的风格学发展之路存在于所有表意领域的风格学之中,即现代风格学经历了语言文本的风格研究、多模态文本的风格研究以及所有范畴的符号文本的风格研究三个发展阶段。从语言风格学走向文化符号风格学是文化中各种风格勃兴召唤的结果,文化符号风格学是一种新的跨学科的文本风格研究,把关注意义表达规律的符号学与关注意义表达特点的风格学结合起来运用于所有范畴的符号文本的风格分析,重点关注文本表意形式与风格意义之间的关联,是一种具有普遍意义的风格研究范式。

With the continuous development of society and culture,various new styles emerge.Through a re-examination of the development process of modern stylistics that takes the generation of meaning as the clue and the research object as the centre,one can find an implicit or explicit process of stylistics development in all fields of signification.Specifically,modern stylistics has moved through three stages:linguistic stylistics,multimodal stylistics and the study of semiotic text in all categories.This process meets the cultural need for the development of various styles.Cultural semiotic stylistics is a new interdisciplinary style of studies that combine semiotics(which concentrates on the laws of expressing meaning)with stylistics(which attaches importance to the features of meaning)to analyse the style of semiotic texts in all categories with a focus on the relationship between form and meaning.As a paradigm of style research,cultural semiotic stylistics has universal significance.
