摘要 5G规范首次出现在3GPP R15版本中并取得了巨大发展,然而许多物联网应用没有高吞吐量和严格的延迟要求,但时间、成本和功耗是这些应用程序的重要考虑因素。RedCap引入了对5G规范中降低功能无线设备的支持,这些设备比5G设备更简单、成本更低且能耗更低。3GPP技术报告TR 38.875指定了RedCap设备的三个应用,包括工业传感器、监控设备(对智能城市和工厂至关重要)和健康可穿戴设备。文章首先介绍了Rel 17 RedCap的典型应用场景,分析了Rel 17 RedCap关键技术,其次对RedCap峰值速率进行估算并研究其在不同频段的应用特点;最后对5G RedCap的商用进行了分析和展望,以便让读者更多地了解5G RedCap移动通信技术。 The 5G specification first appeared in the 3GPP-R15 version and achieved significant development.However,many IoT use cases do not have high throughput and strict latency requirements,but time,cost,and power consumption are important considerations for these applications.RedCap has introduced support for wireless devices with reduced functionality in the 5G specification.Compared to the corresponding devices of 5G,these devices are simpler,cheaper,and consume less energy.3GPP specifies three use cases for RedCap devices,including industrial sensors,monitoring devices(crucial for smart cities and factories),and healthy wearable devices.The article first introduces the typical application scenarios of Rel-17 RedCap,analyzes the key technologies of Rel-17 RedCap,estimates the peak rate of RedCap,and studies its application characteristics in different frequency bands.Finally,it analyzes and prospects the commercial use of 5G RedCap,in order to provide readers with a better understanding of 5G RedCap mobile communication technology.
