Understanding the axiological awareness of contemporary translation studies is the key to the further development of the present translation studies.It refers to the value problem,value awareness and value responsibility in the translation practice.The problems about“what translation means”and“what translation should be”is involved about the value problems of translation studies.These two problems can be extended as“what I should do”and“what I should expect”based on the confirmation and verification of the translation value in the action of translation subjective by means of value awareness and value responsibility.The examination of axiological awareness of translation studies should surround these problems to have a deep interpretation and illustration.The fundamental goal is to shift translation value awareness into translation value responsibility in the translation practice and therefore the dialectic relationship between positive value and negative value can be effectively dealt with.In a sense,the study of the axiological awareness can provide value element for translation studies and extend and expand the epistemological domain of translation studies.
