摘要 Despite being unnoticed women at the time,Emily Dickinson and Yu Xiuhua, two female poets of different generations and countries, their works shook the poetry world in a powerful way.Trapped in a small place in their lives, their poems express the same desire for love and the world.Through many metamorphic imagery, their poems transcend themselves from their small bodies, small rooms, and small villages to a vast spiritual world.Such kind of transformation helps the poets integrate poetry into their lives, break the“double bind”for female poets, and express their repressed love and self-assertion.
