模糊空间机制性定义与规划启示——以美国纽约曼哈顿高线公园为例

Institutional Definition and Planning Enlightenment of Terrain Vague:A Case of Manhattan High Line Park in New York

城市“模糊空间”即城市中具备某种不清晰、不确定的属性、状态,或被排除于正规用途以外因而尚未充分发挥其功能与用途的空间。对于已身处城镇化“下半场”的中国城市而言,整体认知并且正确理解“模糊空间”的内涵、价值和演化机制,能够有效挖掘城市用地潜力、提升用地效率,更好地应对“存量时代”挑战。但现状研究多聚焦具体局部或单一类型,对模糊空间的一般内涵、价值及其形成、演化与开发利用机制尚未形成整体性、系统性认知。在系统梳理国内外相关研究进展基础上,构建模糊空间的机制性定义,并以曼哈顿高线公园的案例进行论证,以有效理论化模糊空间的系统特征与逻辑,为城市化转型背景下挖掘模糊空间潜力的规划应对提供理论基础。

Urban“terrain vague”refers to the space in the city that has a certain unclear or uncertain attribute or state,or is excluded from formal use and thus has not fully exerted its functions and uses.For the Chinese cities in the“second half”of urbanization,overall cognition and correct understanding of the connotation,value and evolution mechanism of“terrain vague”can effectively tap the potential of urban land use,improve land use efficiency,and better cope with the challenges of the“stock era”.However,the status quo research mostly focuses on specific parts or a single type,and there has not been a holistic and systematic cognition on the general connotation,value and the formation,evolution and development and utilization mechanism of terrain vague.On the basis of systematically reviewing relevant research progress at home and abroad,this paper constructs a institutional definition of terrain vague,and demonstrates with the case of Manhattan’s High Line Park,in order to effectively theorize the systematic characteristics and logic of terrain vague,and to provide theoretical foundation for exploring the potential planning of the terrain vague under the background of urbanization transformation.
