高质量发展老年教育,是实施积极应对人口老龄化国家战略的需要,是提升老年人生命质量、服务现代化建设的客观要求。老年教育服务中国式现代化建设具有重要的时代价值,既消解人口老龄化难题,又拓展优质人力资源。老年教育服务中国式现代化建设的机理主要体现在:教育功能上,为老年群体更新知识技能;政治功能上,引领老年人树立正确政治意识;经济功能上,促进银发经济开发;社会功能上,维护社会和谐稳定;文化功能上,促进社会主义文化建设。必须构建功能完备的老年教育体系,并充分发挥老年教育的教育、政治、经济、社会和文化功能,才能使老年教育更好地为中国式现代化建设服务。

The high-quality development of elderly education is necessary for implementing the national strategy of actively responding to population aging,and is an objective requirement for improving the quality of life of the elderly and serving modernization construction.Education for the elderly serves the construction of Chinese path to modernization,which has important era value.It not only solves the problem of population aging,but also expands high-quality human resources.The mechanism of the elderly education serving Chinese modernization is mainly reflected in(1)updating knowledge and skills for the elderly population in terms of educational function,(2)guiding the elderly to establish correct political consciousness in terms of the political function,(3)promoting the development of Silver economy in terms of the economic function,(4)maintaining social harmony and stability in terms of the social function,and(5)promoting the construction of socialist culture in terms of the cultural function.A fully functional elderly education system should be built and the educational,political,economic,social and cultural functions of elderly education should be given full play in order to make elderly education better serve the construction of Chinese modernization.
