图书馆界女先驱冯陈祖怡学术成就考究

Study on the Academic Achievements of T. Y. Feng-Chen

[目的/意义]冯陈祖怡在民国初期曾留学美国学习图书馆专业知识,在当时的图书馆界是少数具有留学经历和专业知识的女性之一,并一度活跃在图书馆界近30年,对其学术思想和成就研究有一定的历史意义。[方法/过程]以史料记载为基本,从生平经历、协会和馆际活动、学术研究和论文等方面入手,展现并探究其学术成长过程和学术思想成就。[结果/结论]研究发现,冯陈祖怡在图书馆建设、知识教育与传播、人才培养、协会组织的创设、图书馆学研究等方面做了许多有价值的工作,在当时图书馆界属于有影响的女性工作者。

[Purpose/significance]In the early Republic of China,T.Y.Feng-Chen studied in the United States to learn library professional knowledge.At that time,she was one of the few women with overseas study experience and professional knowledge in the library field and was once active in the library industry for nearly 30 years.It would have some historical significance for the research on her academic thoughts and achievements.[Method/process]Here,based on the historical records,from a few aspects of life experiences,associations and interlibrary activities,academic research and papers,it would be shown and explored her academic growth process and academic ideological achievements.[Result/conclusion]After the study,it was found that she had done a lot of valuable works in library construction,knowledge education and dissemination,personnel training,the creation of association organizations,library science research and so on.At that time,she was a famous woman in the field of library science.
