The formation process and growth principle of hard anodized film are introduced in detail in this paper.The common faults in the hard anodizing process are summarized.The causes of insufficient film thickness,ablation,corrosion spots,reduction of finish af⁃ter repair,and film leakage of composite plating are analyzed.
