近代早期英国动物医疗的特点初探

A Preliminary Study on the Characteristics of Animal Medicine in early Modern England

近代早期英国的动物医疗呈现三方面的特点:首先,动物医疗对象在物种和其所承担的社会功能方面呈现多样性特征,医疗对象的多样性导致了医疗方式的多选择性;其次,不同动物医疗者之间虽有等级区分,但接触动物医疗知识的机会是平等的;最后,近代早期动物医学与人类医学基于同样的思想传统,动物医学附属于人类医学,英国动物医疗水平尚处于初级阶段。近代早期动物医疗虽有诸多局限,但这一历史阶段在英国兽医发展史上起着承上启下的重要作用。

Animal medicine in early modern England was characterized by three aspects.Firstly,Animal medical objects show diversity in species and their social functions.The diversity of medical objects leads to the Choice of medical treatment.Secondly,although there is a distinction of grades between different animal medical practitioners,they do have equal access to animal medical knowledge.Finally,animal medicine and human medicine in early modern times were based on the same ideological tradition.Animal medicine was attached to human medicine,and Animal medicine in Britain was still in its infancy.Although there are certain limitations,the early modern period plays an important role in the history of Veterinary medicine in Britain.
