全球价值链位置对制造业创新的影响--基于出口退税的门槛效应

The Impact of Global Value Chain Position on Manufacturing Innovation--Based on the Threshold Effect of Export Tax Rebates

采用中国海关数据库、UIBE_GVC index数据库和中国产业层面出口退税率数据,考察全球价值链位置对中国制造业创新的影响及出口退税在全球价值链位置影响创新过程中的门槛效应。研究表明:全球价值链位置与制造业创新存在倒U型关系,全球价值链位置的上升显著激励制造业的创新活动,当全球价值链位置达到一定高度时,负向影响制造业创新;在考虑内生性问题后,结果仍然稳健;出口退税在全球价值链位置影响制造业创新过程中发挥门槛效应,当出口退税跨越门槛后,全球价值链位置攀升对制造业创新的促进作用增强。

Using China Customs Database,UIBE_GVC Index Database and Chinese industry-level export tax rebate data,the impact of global value chain position on China's manufacturing innovation and the threshold effect of export tax rebate in the process of the global value chain position affecting innovation process were investigated.The results show that there is an inverted“U”relationship between the position of the global value chain and the innovation of the manufacturing industry,the rise of the position of the global value chain significantly stimulates the innovation activities of the manufacturing industry,and negatively affects the innovation of the manufacturing industry when the global value chain position reaches a certain height.After considering endogeneity issues,the results remained robust;export tax rebate affects the manufacturing innovation process in the global value chain position,which has a threshold effect,and when the export tax rebate crosses the threshold,the promoting role of the global value chain position on manufacturing innovation is enhanced.
