Tadao Ando's long-term interest in modern art had a profound influence on his reflection of architecture design.This paper traces back Tadao Ando's artistic enlightenment and his various ways of contacting with modern art,then analyzes how his architectural space responds to his artistic works in both outdoor and indoor spaces.The paper argues that Tadao Ando's view of arts reflects the encountering of Eastern and Western art in the 20th century,which is directly presented in the architecture and artistic genres embodied in his work.At the same time,modern art and architecture are inextricably linked,and modern architects represented by Tadao Ando are characterized by collisions and integration of the two.
