摘要
林语堂提倡“生活的艺术”,他像中国传统士大夫那样把日常生活的衣、食、住、行作为审美对象,并对其进行审美观照。通过“移情”,他使日常生活成为情景交融的审美意象;通过“悟道”,他又将一般性的审美意象提升到有限含纳无限的意境高度。林语堂的生活审美观体现了“道不远人”的中国传统美学智慧,不仅为我们提供了一种可资借鉴的生活范式,对人们的日常生活具有切实可行的指导意义,而且为弘扬中国传统美学,推动中国美学研究参加世界对话提供了一种思路。
Lin Yutang advocated“The Importance of Living”.Like the tra-ditional Chinese scholar-bureaucrats,he took daily clothing,food,housing and transportation as aesthetic objects,and observed them aesthetically.Through“empathy”,he turned daily life into an aesthetic image of blending feelings and scenes.Through“Enlightenment of Tao”,he promoted the general aesthetic image to the aesthetic conception of limited and infinite.Lin Yutang’s aesthetic view on life reflects the wisdom of Chinese traditional aesthetics that“Tao is not far away from people”.It not only provides us with a life paradigm that can be used for reference and has practical guiding significance for people’s daily life,but also provides a way of thinking for carrying forward Chinese traditional aesthetics and promoting Chinese aesthetic research to participate in world dialogue.
