Digital Journalism and Open Production :From Practical Innovation to Idea Evolution

开放生产是数字新闻业最核心的实践特征之一,也是数字新闻业超越传统新闻业最集中的体现。本文梳理新闻生产在数字技术助益下从封闭走向开放的过程,探讨开放性新闻生产的核心要素和基本理念,并从人文主义和文化公共性视角对新闻业的“开放性革命”作出价值反思。数字新闻开放生产机制包括生产工具、生产资料和生产者三个核心要素。数字新闻业在探索性的开放生产实践中实现了三方面的理论革新:对传统客观性法则的超越,记者转型为资源协调者,以及“作为生活方式的新闻”。此外,本文主张关注开放新闻生产中包孕的“初创悖论”,呼吁通过不断创新机构形式和提升新闻行动者数字素养来追求开放生产的高质量和可持续性,从而令新闻业更好地服务于人类对有秩序、有尊严的公共生活的追求。

One of the fundamental attributes that sets digital journalism apart from traditional media's centralized model is its emphasis on open production.This essay delineates how the advent of digital technology has catalyzed a transformation in news production,shifting it from a closed system to one characterized by openness.It delves into the key elements and guiding principles underpinning open journalism production,conducting a value analysis of the"openness revolution"in journalism through a lens of humanism and cultural engagement.Within the realm of digital journalism,three core components comprise the mechanisms of open production,i.e.,producers,production tools,and production resources.Through the exploratory practice of open production,digital journalism has achieved three significant theoretical advancements:transcending conventional objectivity principles,redefining journalists as resource coordinators,and embracing"news as a way of life."Furthermore,this essay spotlights the inherent"startup paradox"embedded within open news production.It underscores the importance of relentlessly innovating organizational structures and elevating digital literacy among stakeholders to uphold high quality and sustainability in open production.This,in turn,enables journalism to better serve humanity's quest for a disciplined and dignified public life.
